Brief
As a Product Designer at Kognitiv, I focused on building features for our internal B2B platform that streamline complex workflows and enhance usability for both design and engineering teams.
Over time, I grew into a Senior Product Designer role, taking on responsibilities that supported the scaling of Kognitiv’s design systems and product offerings. My primary role involved creating solutions that aligned user needs with business goals, and promoting cohesive interactions across the platform to improve client and end-user experiences.
Learning & Growth
The role challenged me to learn quickly and adapt my skill set. My initial focus was understanding the business needs and the intricacies of Kognitiv’s technology, which required engaging closely with cross-functional partners. Working directly with engineers and product managers, I built a deep understanding of the technical backend that supported our design solutions, and I learned to bridge these technical concepts for the design team.

As I took on the Senior Product Designer role, I led the creation and iteration of new design components. I presented my work in regular feedback sessions and fostered a collaborative approach to prototyping, testing, and iterating. Through leading these efforts, I honed my storytelling skills, especially when presenting complex ideas during design critiques and stakeholder meetings. User testing sessions became a central part of my workflow, and I adapted insights from each round to ensure our designs were both functional and engaging.
Takeaway
The work was very challenging, but that pushed me to grow into senior role.
Working at Kognitiv accelerated my growth and strengthened my skills in navigating complex product challenges. I grew from being a hands-on designer to a strategic team collaborator, learning to prioritize features and making user-centric decisions in line with Kognitiv’s goals. This experience solidified my ability to manage both high-level strategy and detailed design work, and I emerged with a deepened sense of adaptability and problem-solving essential for senior design roles.
